It begins

So I just came across a 17 minute gameplay video for the new Battlefield 4 game. I've never played any of the previous games, not because I have a favoritism towards the Call of Duty franchise (although I have played most of the current gen COD games), but because I just never got around to playing it. I always planned to pick up Battlefield 3 after a while and blast through the single player campaign, but then I heard that it was quite unmemorable so I just gave up on it.
But today, after watching this video I have to ask, did Battlefield 3 look that good? If it did, then I have no idea why I wouldn't have played it just to look at the environments. With the fourth game looking astounding, I can't see any reason for it not being a day one purchase, especially if it comes out on the next gen xbox.
After watching the demo, I stupidly decided to venture into the comments, and as usual they were full of idiotic negativity. My favourites amongst the bunch were the people who whine about the reuse of some object models, spouting things like "lazy development" and "disappointing". Clearly these people have never taken a stab at any type of artistic project. The use (or not use as they could have just used objects similar to Battlefield 3) of previous objects are hardly a make or break deal.
Anyway, the vid is below for those interested. Don't forget to buy my t shirts so I can get this game when it comes out
